The event shines a spotlight on organ donation and raises funds for essential, life-saving organ transplant research and was originally planned for July 24 and then rescheduled to October 23 at WIN Entertainment Centre. But the extension of lockdown restrictions has prompted organisers to move the date back to March 26, 2022.
Event producer and liver transplant recipient Doug Vickers said while he regretted the need to postpone the event for the second time, he was committed to giving the Illawarra something to celebrate when restrictions finally ease.
"The Illawarra was an avid supporter of Rodeo 4 Life in 2019 and the region has once again shown its appreciation for this unique blend of sporting skill and full-length country music concert by eight-time Golden Guitar winner Travis Collins," Mr Vickers said.
"Our audiences also know they are supporting an important cause with 100 percent of profits from the event dedicated to organ transplant research at the Royal Prince Alfred's Transplant Institute.
"We hope they stay with us through this journey so we can share with them an amazing night of fun next March."
Mr Vickers said all tickets purchased for October 23 remain valid for the March 26 event so ticketholders do not need to do anything but turn up on the night.
Current ticketholders who cannot make the March spectacular can submit a refund request to Ticketmaster before 5pm on Saturday October 2, 2021.
The Illawarra Mercury news app is now officially live on both iOS and Android devices. It is available for download in the Apple Store and Google Play.
