Sheridan Gallagher says she hopes to bring a lot of energy to the Western Sydney Wanderers after signing her first W-League contract.
The teenager made her mark in 2021, representing the Illawarra Stingrays in nine NSW Women's NPL first grade games. Now, the talented forward is ready to take that next step.
Gallagher's transition be made easier by being surrounded by some familiar faces, with the Wanderers' squad boating the likes of Stingrays talent Caitlin Cooper and Danika Matos.
"It's great to have an opportunity like this, especially in my backyard. I was born in Western Sydney and I'm grateful for the opportunity. I think anything like this is a surprise, you're not gifted everything on a plate. But I've definitely been working towards it for the last couple of years now," Sheridan said.
"I hope to bring a fair bit of energy, being one of the younger girls, and I'll look up to the older girls, the likes of Caitlin Cooper to help me build and grow as a player."
