Tarrawanna have called in the big guns as they look to take down the Illawarra Premier League's powerhouse sides in 2022, unveiling Scott Chipperfield as their new head coach on Wednesday night.
Just days after Peter Willis departed the club following a six-year stint at the helm, the Blueys announced the former Socceroos midfielder would take over the reins next season.
Chipperfield will be assisted by new second grade coach Carl Jacobs, youth grade coach Jason Wenig and goalkeeping mentor David Curley.
The 45-year-old brings a wealth of experience to the club. Chipperfield, who retired from playing professionally in 2014, represented the Socceroos in 68 games.
Chipperfield's appointment follows a host of IPL coaching changes announced in recent weeks.
Cringila announced on Tuesday that club legend Icko Atanasoski will return to the Lions' den in 2022 to lead their Premier League's side. Billy Tsovolos has replaced Oli Vrtkovski as Wollongong United's mentor, Ian Connelly takes the reins as Woonona's head coach from Dan McGoldrick while George Antoniou has parted ways with Wollongong Olympic, with the club yet to announce their new coach.
