The home is located at 39 Tingira Crescent, Kiama.
It sold last week for $4,555,500 to a Sydney buyer after less than three weeks on the market.
Selling agent, Helena Crumpton from Stone Real Estate Illawarra said there were other interested parties from the Kiama area, as well as out of area buyers.
The four-bedroom, three-bathroom home is set on 607 square metres.
The home had a price guide between $4.4 million and $4.8 million.
According to CoreLogic, the property previously sold in 2011 for $1,210,000.
Sellers, Bill Brock and husband Dean Grant recently told the Mercury that when they bought the home, style-wise it needed some work - "every room was painted a different colour" - and it hadn't taken proper advantage of the views and outdoor areas.
"But we saw the potential that I think a lot of people didn't see," Mr Brock said.
"So we put a pool in and we spent quite a bit of money re-doing it, and making it indoor and outdoor friendly.
"The ocean views was the number one [reason they bought it]. The views are fantastic. Yesterday the dolphins were coming by, the day before we had probably 20-odd whales that we saw."
Also included is a fully furnished tiny house, which the current owners built three years ago.
Now retired, the couple were selling in order to be closer to family in Sydney.
Mr Brock said they were pleased with the result of the sale.
"We'll miss the views, the house and the friends and neighbours, but it's time to move on," he said.
"We've already bought a place in Sydney and we're ready to move in."
"We wish the new owners as much as joy and happiness as we've had in the house," Mr Grant said.
