Almost 160 clubs each created a special competition dish for their menu, with members and patrons invited to cast their votes between April and June.
More than 50,000 Perfect Plate competition dishes were purchased with celebrity chefs Manu Feildel and Colin Fassnidge saying they were blown away by the quality of club cuisine.
Feildel visited The Frat and said he was immediately impressed.
"I'll admit, before travelling around the state to sample Perfect Plate dishes, I hadn't spent very much time in clubs, but the calibre of food is incredible," he said.
"It just goes to show that you don't need to go to a fine dining restaurant to experience fantastic food - it's right there at your local club."
The Frat chief executive Greg Field said the club and young chef Shavanah Skilton were absolutely over the moon
"I'm thrilled the club has taken out the top award. We pride ourselves on offering great food and this feels like a great vindication for the entire club. Thank you to all our members and guests, we look forward to welcoming you back soon. Once we reopen, I hope everyone comes and tastes the dish for themselves!"
Colin Fassnidge said he too was surprised by the variety of food.
"During the competition I tasted everything from seared scallops to crispy pork belly, and the passion that the clubs' chefs have for their food was great to see," Fassnidge said.
ClubsNSW CEO Josh Landis said the quality of the meals they were serving was a great message to the community as clubs prepare to resume trade after lockdown.
