Emily Provost, 47, pleaded guilty to commercial drug supply in Wollongong Local Court on Wednesday after investigators used telephone intercepts and physical and covert surveillance before she was arrested in August last year.
Agreed facts tendered to court said Provost came under notice from the Wollongong Criminal Investigation Drug Unit after they established Strike Force Cohen in June 2020 to investigate the supply of methamphetamine and gamma-Butyrolactone in the South Coast region.
Surveillance and telephone intercepts revealed Provost was the GBL upline supplier to a man who would then sell drugs to a wide customer base throughout Wollongong and Lake Illawarra.
Provost and her street level dealer would openly discuss the supply and distribution of GBL and only used basic codewords such as 'G', and 'drinks".
Police captured negotiations on July 17 last year between Provost and her street level dealer where he agreed to buy 850 millilitres, or 1105 grams, of GBL from her for $1800.
The dealer would then on-supply the drug to another man for $2.50 per millilitre, equating to $2000.
Provost's dealer tried to pull out of the arrangement however as Provost had already purchased the drug she sold some to him the next day and the balance in ensuing days.
On July 28, the street dealer told Provost, "I gotta sale here now. It's for G" before she supplied him with 100 ml. Provost again supplied 65 grams of GBL for $500 before the dealer on-sold it.
Provost's Mangerton home was raided on August 6 where police seized several items including scales and syringes.
She was arrested later that day at a home in Woonona before she was taken to Wollongong Police Station and charged.
Provost will be sentenced in Wollongong District Court at a later date.
