The spring selling season continues to thrive in the Illawarra, with a perfect record for auctions registered during the past week.

The "emotional" sale of a home which had been in the same family since the mid-1960s was among the highlights of the region's property auctions.
According to CoreLogic's preliminary figures, of the 21 results collected for the Illawarra so far, there was an auction clearance rate of 100 per cent for the week ending September 26.
By comparison, of the 32 results collected for the Illawarra, there was an auction clearance rate of 93.8 per cent for the week ending September 19.
The home at 10 Dovers Drive, Port Kembla sold at online auction on Saturday.
Set on 556 square metres, the three-bedroom, two-bathroom home sold for $1,420,000.
It had a price guide of $1.3 million, and sold above reserve.
Located in the prime position of Hill 60, this two-storey brick family home was built in the mid-1960s, and had been owned by the same family for that time.
Selling agent, Sam Vescio from MMJ North said it was sold to a family who were originally from the Illawarra, had relocated to Sydney and were now planning to return to the region.
There were seven registered bidders.
Mr Vescio said after a slow start, three parties battled it out for the property.
"It was an emotional sale for the vendors, as they'd owned it since it was built," he said.
The home at 68 Hospital Road, Bulli sold at online auction last Wednesday.
The three-bedroom, two-bathroom home is set on 660 square metres and sold for $1,720,000.
Selling agent, Matthew Stipcevic from Molenaar + McNeice said it was sold to a Sydney buyer.
Mr Stipcevic said bidding opened at $1.4 million, and it was a competitive auction that came down to two Sydney buyers, who at one point were bidding in $50,000 increments.
He said the result was "well above" the reserve price, and prior to the auction it had a price guide of $1.4 million to $1.5 million.
"It had a great outlook, and a lot of sunlight flowing through," he said.
"It's an aesthetically pleasing home, and there's just low stock everywhere at the moment. People are having to make quick decisions, and it's causing the market to rise dramatically."
Meanwhile, the property at 97B Landy Drive, Mount Warrigal sold for $845,000 under the virtual hammer last week.
The three-bedroom, one-bathroom house is set on 556 square metres. The reserve price was $765,000.
This family home offers views of Lake Illawarra, the ocean and escarpment.
Selling agent, Luke Veleski from Stone Real Estate Illawarra said it was sold to a South Coast couple, who had bought it as an investment.
There were 18 registered bidders.
He said it was a fast-paced, 15-minute auction, which ultimately came down to two parties, with the under-bidder from the Illawarra.
The property at 8/4 Surfside Drive, Port Kembla sold via auction for $583,750 last week.
Selling agent, Sam O'Halloran from The Agency Illawarra said the two-bedroom, one-bathroom unit sold to Sydney investors who had only inspected it via FaceTime.
He said there was also interest from Illawarra investors.
Mr O'Halloran said the location near the beach was appealing to buyers.
Bidding opened at $525,000. The reserve price was $575,000.
