The Kembla Grange trainer originally hails from the small town and after finishing second and third in 2019, Bateup is hopeful Club Legend will prevail on Sunday.

"Club Legend is an honest horse who is highly effective on wet tracks," Bateup said.
"I'm always looking to go back to the Cootamundra meeting, he is a nice horse for the cup. It's my hometown cup, I'd like to have one on my mantlepiece."
