A child struck by a car on the Princes Highway is in a stable condition, a NSW Ambulance spokesperson has said.
Emergency services were called to the intersection of the Princes Highway and Junction Street in Nowra shortly after 3pm on Saturday.\
A nearby nurse rushed to assist the boy until ambulance crews arrived.
When paramedics arrived they boy, believed to be aged about 10, was conscious and breathing.
"He was very distressed, and had multiple lacerations to the head," the NSW Ambulance spokesperson said.
Crews treated the child at the scene before taking him to Shoalhaven District Memorial Hospital.
NSW Police also attended the incident. They said a 53-year-old woman driving a Hyundai collided with an 11-year-old boy.
Police have spoken to a number of witnesses. It is not expected that any charges will result from the incident.
