The Illawarra's vibrant market scene is on track to be running at full throttle again by November, with some returning as early as next weekend.
Bulli Showground operations manager Darren Hull says he can't wait to welcome everyone back.
"I've missed it - that's been the hardest part for me is not having the community here," he said.
"We still maintain and clean it, and we're looking forward to having people back to enjoy it.
"The place is going to be humming over the next 12 months with new events, old events, there will be lots on the program virtually every weekend."
Mr Hull said he was impressed by the resilience organisers showed over the past two years.
"Some of them have been cancelled twice in a row now," he said.
"They'd gone through the proper process to get their DA's approved only to find COVID kept coming back. It was devastating, but they all persisted and want to go again next year.
"It will be a buzz to have them back."
Ray Gallagher, organiser of the Dapto and Warrawong markets, is also excited to reopen.
"It's been a little shy of four months - I think we've all gone a bit stir-crazy," he said.
"It's great for the stall-holders and good for us.
"We're COVID-safe, we try to do everything right by the government guidelines and help other people to do it right."

- Dapto Showground Markets, Sunday, October 24, 7am to 1pm
