The Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District has confirmed 21 local residents tested positive to COVID-19 in the 24 hours to 8pm last night.

Of the 21 new cases, eleven are from the Wollongong Local Government Area (LGA), with two linked to known cases. The postcodes affected are 2502, 2505, 2518, 2519, 2530.
Seven are from the Shellharbour LGA, and four are linked to a known case. The postcodes affected are 2527, 2528 and 2529.
Three are from the Shoalhaven LGA , where one is linked to a known case. All are in the postcode 2541.
There are no new cases from the Kiama LGA
There have now been 2,236 local cases of COVID-19 in the Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District since the start of the current outbreak in June.
As at 8pm Friday 15 October there were 35 local COVID-19 patients being treated in hospital.
Venues are posted daily on the District's Facebook page and a full list of all exposure sites in NSW is available on the NSW Health case locations web page.
"The community is reminded to remain vigilant for symptoms and get tested if any appear, no matter how mild," an ISLHD spokesperson said.
"People with mild symptoms, such as fatigue, new muscle aches or pains, a change in taste or smell or a new runny nose, should also arrange testing as quickly as possible."
COVID-19 cases in NSW continue to drop as the state records another 319 locally acquired infections and two deaths.
The two deaths were a man in his 60s from Sydney's inner west and a woman in her 90s from south-eastern Sydney. The man died at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. He had received one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. The woman died at St George Hospital. She was not vaccinated.
In the Saturday health update, NSW Health said 91.7 per cent of the population aged 16 plus have had one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine and 78.8 per cent are fully vaccinated.
