Shortly before 1.45pm emergency services were called after a woman in her 20s fell near a waterfall at the Mermaids Pool between Wilton and Tahmoor.
The woman suffered injuries to her head and shoulders, and was flown to Liverpool hospital in a serious condition.
A short time later, about 2.15pm, a man in his 40s was flung over his handlebars while mountain bike riding on a Mount Keira trail.
Due to the remote location it took emergency services personnel some time to retrieve the man, who suffered rib and chest injuries in the accident.
He was taken by road to Wollongong Hospital in a serious condition.
