NSW cases fell below the 300 mark again on Sunday, with 296 infections detected in 24 hours on the back of more than 66,000 tests.

Residents in the 2527 postcode are being reminded to be extra vigilant for symptoms, and to come forward for testing following high case numbers recorded over the past week, an Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District spokesperson said.

Of the 17 new cases; five are from the Wollongong local government area with three linked to known cases. There is one person in postcode 2500, one in 2502 and three in 2528.

In the Shellharbour local government area there are seven people infected, all linked to known cases. Four were recorded in postcode 2527, two in 2528 and one in 2529.

Five people tested positive from the Shoalhaven local government area with three linked to known cases. One case was recorded in postcode and four in 2541.

No cases are from the Kiama LGA

IRT Tarrawanna Aged Care Centre spokeswoman confirmed all residents tested negative in the previous 24 hours while one employee recorded a positive result for the infection during the recent outbreak.

The employee was fully vaccinated and had been caring for the residents with COVID-19.

"We are currently caring for 20 residents who have been diagnosed with COVID-19 in the care centre. One resident was transferred to Wollongong Hospital yesterday for further treatment," the spokeswoman said.

There have been three deaths associated with the outbreak at the centre, which has so far infected 26 residents and six staff.

"Unfortunately we are still seeing some residents declining due to their age and underlying medical conditions. We are monitoring these residents closely with the support of the virtual community care team," the spokeswoman said.

"Testing will continue until we are confident the outbreak is over."

Sadly, four men died overnight across the state. Two men were in their 60s, one man was in their 70s, and one man was in their 80s. Two men were from western Sydney, and two men were from south western Sydney.

Three men were not vaccinated and one man had received two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine.

The first dose vaccination figure for people over 16 has ticked over 93 per cent, with full inoculation at 84.4 per cent for that demographic.

In the past 24 hours, 1,117 first doses were administered while 10,904 people received their second jab.

Meanwhile, the NSW government unveiled a new tourism campaign to sell the state to domestic and international visitors as it reopens.

Premier Dominic Perrottet and Tourism Minister Stuart Ayres on Sunday launched the advertising campaign, titled "Feel New South Wales".

It features some of NSW's most treasured locations as well as a cover of Nina Simone's 1965 classic Feeling Good by Northern Beaches artist Azure Ryder and Sydney-based band Breathe.

The campaign cost "a couple of million dollars" to produce and about $10 million has been allocated so far to promote it in TV, print and social media.

"Too often we've relied on on the buildings, the (Sydney Harbour) Bridge, the heart of the Opera House and the harbour," Mr Ayres told reporters.

"They are exceptionally beautiful. There's no doubt about that. But this campaign is about moving a bit beyond them to be able to say they're always going to be there."
