But it still has the same essence as other living libraries, where the books are real people with real recovery stories, ready to have a conversation with readers online.
TAFE NSW campuses throughout the state will hold Virtual Mental Health Living Library events on Friday from 1-4pm.
The event is being held to conclude Mental Health Month 2021. It is a collaboration between TAFE NSW Mental Health students from across the South region, Flourish Australia, The New Outlook and Kind Art Ed.
TAFE NSW mental health teacher Belinda Hawker, said the main objective is to allow people the opportunity to hear unique mental health recovery stories to breakdown stigma and highlight a world of wellbeing and resilience.
"People may be living with mental health concerns themselves or supporting a friend or someone in their family but haven't had the opportunity to speak with someone experiencing mental health recovery. This living library concept allows people to connect in a safe space, ask questions and have a two-way conversation." Ms Hawker said.
"When people hear the unique experiences of others who are on a recovery journey, it is an incredibly inspiring and powerful moment."
