There were four cases in Wollongong, half of which were linked to known cases, with two in the postcode of 2517 and one each in 2500 and 2526.
Three cases were uncovered in Shellharbour, two of which were linked to known cases, with two in the postcode of 2528 and one in 2527.
The remaining five were in the Shoalhaven, all of which are under investigation, with no new cases in Kiama.
There have now been 2403 local cases of COVID-19 in the region since the start of the Delta outbreak in June.
There were 19 patients being treated in local hospitals as of 8pm Wednesday.
Across the state, two people died with the virus, taking the death toll to 508, while 293 fresh infections were detected.
There were 381 people in hospital and 82 requiring intensive care.
The state's cases, which have dipped back below 300 after climbing over that mark on Wednesday, arrive alongside Victoria's deadliest day of the outbreak so far.
93.3 per cent of people aged 16+ have had one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, while 86 per cent of people aged 16 years and older have had two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine.
There were 89,678 tests in the 24-hour period.
No new overseas cases were recorded.
