COVID-19 social distancing restrictions mean the SantaFest Pub Crawl will not be held on December 11, but plans are already under way for a bigger and better festival in 2022.

Even with restrictions lifting, the beloved Christmas event would have only been able to operate at 50 per cent capacity, co-founder Neil Webster said.
The volunteer organising committee would have also needed to double the number of buses and provide COVID marshalls at every venue.
That meant income would have been halved while the costs would have doubled for the charity event, according to organisers.
"We had some good chats about it with NSW Health and the Australian Hotels Association about what restrictions were likely to be. It would be one person per 2sqm rule," Mr Webster said.
"We also didn't want the risk of someone potentially turning up COVID positive, infecting everyone and completely ruining the event."
Mr Webster said by waiting 12 months the committee will be able to organise a full-scale event where everyone will be able to have fun and raise money for great local causes.
He encouraged people to still donate to the charitable organisations and said links are being posted on the SantaFest website.
Some venues have indicated they would run their own individual events on December 11.
"North Gong did a smaller 800 person event last year and donated proceeds from that to charities," he said.
"And some venues will do similar things this year."
