The demonstration will be held on Friday, November 13 from 8am, with a location yet to be confirmed.
NSW Teachers Federation deputy president Henry Rajendra, will visit Wollongong and other regional areas to brief teachers on the union's campaign to address the issue.
Mr Rajendra said if shortages remain unaddressed they will get worse as student enrolments are rising.
He said regional students would bear the brunt of the shortages and also called on the government for higher pay.
"The teacher shortages will only get worse and it's country kids who will pay the price," Mr Rajendra said.
