Albion Park Rail bowling alley transformed into Timezone fun parlour

The parent company of Timezone (The Entertainment and Education Group) took over operation of the 20-year-old centre on the Princes Highway and gave it an extreme makeover during the recent lockdown.

Spokesman Jason Foxman said works started just before Greater Sydney was brought to a stand-still due to COVID-19, and took around 12 weeks to complete.

"We really have transformed it from a traditional bowling asset to a recreation facility and entertainment facility," he said.

"We were lucky to be able to do it whilst everything was on a bit of a pause."

The revamped venue now boasts 90 arcade games of varying type, fluorescent bumper cars that spin around, plenty of food and drinks with booth-style seating, plus a licensed bar for those over 18.

Mr Foxman said they also have an upper mezzanine perfect for children's birthday parties or office Christmas parties, that overlooks the entire arena.

"It has really become an overall family experience with something to do for everyone," he said.

It comes as Shellharbour got their own Timezone entertainment facility which threw open their doors in May 2021.

Timezone and Zone Bowling is open seven days a week, and accept the NSW Discover vouchers.
