All seven cases are from the Wollongong Local Government Area (LGA) and all but one are linked to known cases.
Six of the cases are from the 2530 postcode and one is from 2525.
There have been 2,513 cases of COVID-19 in the Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District since June.
NSW has recorded 173 new COVID-19 cases and two deaths in the 24 hours to 8pm.

The state's population aged 16 years and over is now 91.9 per cent fully vaccinated, while 94.4 per cent have had their first COVID-19 vaccine shot.
Those aged between 12 and 15 years are 75.4 per cent fully vaccinated, while 81 per cent have had their first dose.
There are 196 COVID-19 patients in hospital, with 34 in ICU.
Yesterday, 52,302 tests were conducted which was up on the previous day's total of 45,405.
