The home at 4 Farmer Street, Kiama sold for $6,325,000 this month.
Co-selling agent, Helena Crumpton from Stone Real Estate Illawarra said it sold to a local family.
"The interest in the property was predominantly locally, as well as from outside (the area)," she said.
"It's a magnificent home."
The home had a price guide of $6 million to $6.6 million.
The five-bedroom, four-bathroom home sits on 1074 square metres.
Mrs Crumpton from Stone Real Estate Illawarra said the house was "unlike anything else in Kiama".
The home is located between Surf Beach and Kendalls Beach.
Features include a heated pool and spa with Spanish glass tiles; and a climate controlled cellar, gym and library.
There is also the opportunity to further enhance the property by adding a rooftop area (subject to council approval).
The seller, who wished to remain anonymous, recently told the Mercury they built the house, which was completed about 11 years ago.
He said they loved the location from the outset.
"We love it because we're close to the beaches, but we're not copping the salt spray and all the other things you get from living right on the water," he said.
"We have a lovely little walk to town from where we are.... It just ticks a lot of boxes for us."
The other selling agent was Greg Crumpton.
There have been some major sales in the Kiama area in recent times.
The suburb has scored a host of $4 million-plus sales so far in 2021, including 21 Gwinganna Avenue, Kiama, which sold for $4.8 million in July.
This was believed to be the previous suburb record price for a freestanding house.
The home at 11 Tingira Crescent, Kiama sold for $4,600,000 earlier this month.
Also, a Kiama Heights property built across two titles and featuring views to Loves Bay sold for $5 million last month, smashing the suburb record in the process.
The property at 4 Elanora Road sold to Sydney investors.
The Crumptons were also the selling agents for this property.
It was sold with a DA approval in place for a duplex on one of the two blocks, which together span 1480 square metres and currently host a three-bedroom, two-bathroom home.
The previous record sold price in Kiama Heights was $3.45 million, set by the sale of 34 Elanora Road in August this year.
