Lagoon Street is a space that includes two new alfresco dining outlets, one called Dal Verde Pizzeria, which boasts a wood fired pizza over, and the the other Burger Box.
Both are built in shipping containers as is a new cocktail bar that also specialises in Australian wine and local craft beer called The Container Bar. There is also a children's playground.
Warilla Bowls and Recreation Club general manager Phillip Kipp said while the plans were made three years ago the launch coincided with the present push towards more alfresco spaces due to COVID-19 and social distancing regulations.
Mr Kipp said with Lagoon Street being outdoors there were fewer restrictions.
"Lagoon Street is located over what and old synthetic bowling green. We took one bowling green out which leaves us with three," he said.
"One of our focuses is to invite more families. And that includes our bare foot bowling offering which is a big part of the business these days. The barefoot bowling green is adjacent to the Lagoon Street alfresco space. It gives people the option of playing bare foot bowls while they are here."
Mr Kipp said the new alfresco precinct was so popular it was already fully booked this weekend but will be open 9am to 10pm Sunday to Thursday and 9am to 11pm Friday to Saturday.
