Brianna Lenehan, 23, pleaded guilty to three charges of wounding a person with the intent to resist arrest, assaulting an officer and intimidation when she appeared in Wollongong Local Court last week.

Agreed facts tendered to court said two neighbours got annoyed at Lenehan playing music loudly from her Tucker Avenue home throughout the afternoon of August 13 earlier this year.

he neighbours repeatedly requested Lenehan turn down the volume but that was met with insults and swearing.

About 7.30pm, Lenehan left her home and started banging on the fence which separates her property from her neighbours'.

She called out, "we will slit your throats and cut your heads off" before she kicked the woman's car.

Police were called to the home twice but left on both occasions without incident.

The neighbours contacted police again about 9.30pm after Lenehan continued to scream out obscenities and again kicked her neighbour's car and gate, challenging them to "come out and face me".

Police arrived a short time later to find the neighbour's car tyres deflated after they appeared to have been slashed.

One of the responding police officers told Lenehan she was under arrest before she said to him, "so you wanna come here and put me under arrest".

The two officers followed Lenehan as she walked inside her home to arrest her.

But when Lenehan walked into the kitchen she grabbed a large kitchen knife, which was about 20-30cm long with a silver blade, from the drawer and put it above her head.

One of the officers yelled at her to "put the knife down" as he backed away from her.

The other officer fired his taser at Lenehan but it was ineffective and she moved closer towards him, still with the knife above her head.

As the officer walked backwards trying to reset his taser, Lenehan said, "you ain't gonna taser me dog".

The officer hit a small coffee table, causing him to stumble backwards and as he did Lenehan swung the knife towards the officer's chest which he blocked with his right hand.

Lenehan punctured the officer between his thumb and index finger. The other officer fired his taser at Lenehan and she fell to the ground. The knife was seized and she was handcuffed.

The officer's hand was bleeding and paramedics were called to treat the one inch wound before he was taken to Wollongong Hospital where he needed sutures.

Lenehan was taken to hospital before she was charged at Wollongong Police Station. She has been in custody since.

The court also heard Lenehan pleaded guilty to an unrelated stabbing on her partner earlier this year.

In agreed facts, Lenehan was charged with reckless wounding after police responded to reports she had stabbed her boyfriend using a kitchen knife on July 21 at a home in Campbelltown following a heated argument.

She made full admissions, telling police she wounded him because she was "sick of him" allegedly assaulting her.

The partner's mother called Triple 0 and he was treated at hospital for his injury to left arm, but he did not provide a statement to police as he was argumentative and erratic.

Lenehan will be sentenced in Wollongong District Court next year.
