This week a legendary Illawarra rock band will have a five-day party in Wollongong's CBD to celebrate 30 years together.
Tumbleweed will be throwing together five live shows at Globe Lane venue La La La's from Saturday night through to Wednesday, each with different local support acts.
It comes as the group released a limited edition box set of 12 vinyl singles recorded with the classic line up of Richie Lewis, Paul Hausmeister, Lenny Curley, Steve O'Brien and the late Jay Curley.
Tumbleweed formed in 1991 and quickly released Captain's Log (which featured Dave Curley on vocals) before settling into the classic line up with the release of their cult hit Stoned.
The box collection then moves through singles from their first two EP's before the lead single from their self-titled debut album, Sundial, which was a top 40 hit in Australia.
Another staple of their live sets was Daddy Longlegs, a stand alone single released between the first two albums which landed the band in the Triple J hottest 100 of 1994.
The box then includes four singles from their second album Galactaphonic which was an ARIA Top 10 album.
The final single is 2013's Mountain, from the album Sounds From The Other Side, which was sadly the last contribution to the band from bass player Jay Curley who passed away in August 2014.
The 30th anniversary box set includes 12 7" singles, most of them available as vinyl singles for the first time and with original B-sides.
It is limited to a one time pressing of 500 copies.
