A woman is due to appear in court today charged after a man suffered stab wounds to his chest and abdomen at Warrawong overnight.

Emergency services were called to Todd Street, Warrawong, just after 9.30pm following reports of a stabbing.
On arrival, officers attached to Lake Illawarra Police District found a 69-year-old man inside a home unit suffering stab wounds to his chest and abdomen.
The man was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before he was airlifted to St George Hospital where he remains in a serious condition after undergoing surgery.
Police established a crime scene and a short time later, arrested a 31-year-old woman arrested nearby.
Residents living nearby reported four ambulance on the scene and the Toll helicopter landed near McDonalds.
One onlooker said: "I've never seen this many ambulances before."
