Just how the hell can this pandemic debacle can be described as being in a strong position defies all logic.
History books show that the last leader who thought he was in a strong position when he wasn't, was was Adolph Hitler on the Russian Front.
Australia is in deep poo and it's getting a lot deeper.
Honestly, who in their right mind could possibly put travel priority ahead of anything else, and force an overworked health industry into a looming breakdown?.
In one breath we are told to stay home, and in the next half the nation is told to get tested for a safe holiday.
It seems that in Australia there is one thing that money cannot buy, and that's Leadership.

Labor Politicians continue to promote a republic
Politicians will never give up on trying to control the constitution in an obvious effort to assume total dominance in this country. The only way they can do that is to remove the Crown and turn Australia into a republic, a politician's republic.
According to the UK Daily Express, "Labor MP Matt Thistlethwaite stated: "I believe they [the people] want to have a say in who our next head of state is and I anticipate there will be a rejuvenation in republicanism in Australia when the Queen's reign ends." In his commentary, Mr Thistlethwaite conveniently ignores the fact that Australia became a sovereign nation in 1901.
No-one disputes that we have not been totally independent of control from the United Kingdom for decades nor that we are not a mature country. The fact that the monarch of Australia is separately the monarch of the United Kingdom and other realms is Australia's choice. Our system of governance has become completely Australianised over time whilst still maintaining the checks and balances inherent in a constitutional monarchy. Republicans have never been able to put forward any alternative that denies politicians absolute power in the same manner that the current system does.
