Hamilton at the Sydney Lyric until February 2022
Featuring a score that blends hip-hop, jazz, R&B and Broadway, HAMILTON has taken the story of American founding father Alexander Hamilton and created a revolutionary moment in theatre - a musical that has had a profound impact on culture, politics and education.
It first premiered on Broadway in 2015 to wide critical and audience acclaim and has since won a prestigious Tony Award, Grammy, and Olivier Awards and the Pulitzer Prize for Drama.
A filmed version of the original Broadway cast was released on Disney+ on 3 July 2020.
- Running time: approx. 2 hours and 50 minutes, including intermission.
- HAMILTON contains some strong language and is appropriate for ages 8+
Come From Away at the Capitol Theatre until January 30
The Tony and Olivier award-winning musical is now playing at the Capitol Theatre.
Inspired by true events, Come From Away follows the journey of 7000 air passengers, who became stranded in Gander, Newfoundland in Canada in the wake of September 11.
Come From Away made its long awaited Sydney opening after a record breaking season in Melbourne, where it earned the title of the most successful musical ever in the Comedy Theatre's 92-year history.
- Running Time: 1 hour and 40minutes (no intermission).
- Age Recommendation: Recommended for ages 10 and older.
- Lock Out: A strict lock out period applies. Patrons arriving late will not be admitted until a suitable break in the performance.
Girl From the North Country at Theatre Royal Sydney, January 6 until February 27
Featuring the reimagined songs of Bob Dylan and starring Lisa McCune, Zahra Newman, Helen Dallimore, Peter Carroll and Terence Crawford.
This feel-good tale of 1930s American life centres around a group of wanderers who cross paths at a Minnesota guest house. Standing at a turning point in their lives, they search for a future, hide from the past, and face unspoken truths about the present.
It's running as part of the Sydney Festival.
Six the Musical at Sydney Opera House until April 2
Re-introducing the six wives of Henry VIII - six rebellious heroines take to the mic to remix over 500 years of history and heartbreak in a celebration of girl power.
These powerful women transform from Tudor Queens to Pop Princesses as they tell their rebellious tales in this original pop musical, accompanied by a phenomenal all-female band and inspired by the canon of music divas like Adele, Lily Allen and Ariana Grande.
It's been labelled a 'global pop musical phenomenon set to take Sydney by storm".

9 to 5 The Musical at Capitol Theatre from February 16
Inspired by the award-winning film and brought to us by Dolly herself, this joyous musical is the quintessential feel-good show for the times. Full of mischief, laughter and affection, it's gold carat fun!
Starring Caroline O'Connor, Eddie Perfect, Marina Prior, Casey Donovan and Erin Clare as bright & beautiful country gal Doralee Rhodes.
Inspired by the hit film, the musical tells the story of Doralee, Violet and Judy, three enterprising workmates pushed to the edge by their mean-spirited boss Franklin Hart Jnr. Resorting to wit, comradery and cunning, they dream up a no holds barred scheme to kidnap and turn the tables on their controlling supervisor in the most hilariously defiant of ways.
