Wollongong's Steamers Bar and Grill has been handed a prestigious "Two Glass Rating" at 2021's Australia's Wine List of the Year Awards for their impressive wine list.

The judges said the venue's extensive list celebrated diversity whilst having a heavy Australian content, and "gives drinkers an opportunity to travel the globe of fine wine".
Restaurant Manager and Sommelier, Romain Bastianel hand-selected each of the 345 wines and said it took just over four years for the wine list to become what it is now, though would still have "have many projects for the years to come".
"Although we began by focusing solely on Australian wines, we have spent the last two years sampling and showcasing some stellar international wines as well," he said.
"Our main focus is to find wines that will match our style of food. Our cuisine is inspired by street food from around the world, and we are having a lot of fun matching lesser known varietals from different wine regions, to our ever-evolving menu."
