NO HOLIDAY FOR COVID-19
I read about the pregnant Mum, Amy Atwood, who had to wait three hours for a test.

I am a 74-year-old woman, who, while very sick with coughing and a fever, I waited in line in a hot car for seven hours ten minutes at Fairy Meadow for a test, which is ludicrous.
Five days later, still quite ill, I am still waiting for a result.
Like Amy, I do not blame the health workers for this, who are doing a great job in hectic circumstances, but the chronic shortage of staff.
With many testing sites being closed on public holidays, has made things worse. COVID-19 does not take a holiday.

A WORLD RULED BY WOKE
It's clear much of the western world is now creating generations where many think life is about victimhood, and if you're not a victim you have to adopt someone else's victimhood.
This has created a world now ruled by wokeness, and those who breach the rules are quickly deemed persona non grata and their careers and lives are completely destroyed.
Nothing good will come of this stupidity if it's allowed to continue unabated.
We have already seen too many good people destroyed because they have been accused by the woke.
We have even seen examples where woke individuals have been "cancelled" for not being woke enough.
Wokeness is a cause that clearly has the potential to end up eating itself, but not before it has had a dire impact on our societies.
It's hypocrisy at its worst; it reeks of pettiness and vengeance by people who have had their view of the world challenged, or perceive someone has made a "politically incorrect statement".
It's just another of the 21st century causes that is pushing us toward rule by the laws of the jungle - a place where only the toughest will survive.

VOTE LIKE A LOBBYIST
Albo has kicked off the election season with the promise of a fast train.
Scomo had already committed to a "live with Covid" and Clive Palmer keeps warning us not to trust anyone.
Not sure about the Greens.
Voters need to act as if they are lobbyists.
Support the party most likely to win and vote for a party that gives your community what it needs.
No one remembers promises when they get into power so let's vote for the likely winners.
