It is understood Dr Bennett passed away suddenly over the weekend.
The Berry Vet Clinic is closed while staff grieve; a voice mail left for the clinic said "a light has been dimmed".
"We are closed as we take time to grieve the passing of a valued member of our team," it said.
"This is an awful and unexpected time."
Dr Bennett shot to fame when he was featured in Village Vets Australia, a TV docuseries on the LifeStyle channel.
He graduated from Sydney University in 2004 with First Class Honours and started work at Berry Vet Clinic, with a particular interest in cattle medicine and small animal surgery.
Dr Bennet was an honorary vet at the Berry Show and at the Sydney Royal Easter Show.
The loss of the much-loved member of the community has shocked and saddened many locals, who recall the care and kindness he showed their pets.
