"The body of a man believed to be that of a man swept off rocks while fishing in the state's south earlier this week has been located," a police spokesperson said.
Emergency services were called to Hill 60 Headland about 3.45pm on Monday after a 19-year-old man fishing from the rocks was hit by a large wave and washed into the sea.
Brenden, pictured above in a photograph provided to the Mercury by Brenden on Saturday, April 23 after he caught the trevally at Hill 60, was unable to get back to the rocks.

The man's friends, aged 17 and 50, entered the water in an attempt to rescue him and emergency services were alerted.
Officers from Lake Illawarra Police District, Surf Life Saving NSW members, Marine Area Command, PolAir, Marine Rescue NSW, NSW Ambulance, and the Toll Ambulance Rescue Helicopter have searched for him since.
The two friends were recovered from the water by witnesses and life savers, suffering minor injuries.
The search continued for Brenden however, was suspended shortly before 6pm due to deteriorating conditions and fading light.
The search resumed yesterday without success, before continuing again today.
"Just before 1pm, a man's body was located in waters nearby from where the missing man was last seen," the police spokesperson said.
"While the body is yet to be formally identified, it is believed to be that of the missing 19-year-old man."
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
