The veteran will line up in Thursday's $200,000 Town Plate, alongside some of the state's top country horses.
The field highlights the Wagga carnival's status among the biggest in NSW racing, trainers like Price determined to taste success in the feature sprint.
"It's a great racetrack," Price said. "They do the carnival so well, we haven't had a great deal of success, we've trained a couple of winners but not in the big ones.
"We're going down with a big chance. I love the way Cuban Royale is going, he's back on firm ground, he's been set for this race. They'll know he's there when it comes to the business end."
Cuban Royale is one of seven Price horses slated to race in Wagga across the carnival, however some may race at Kembla on Saturday.
Jean Van Overmeire will jump on board Cuban Royale, with former Price apprentice Brock Ryan booked to ride Country Championships winner and favourite Another One.
Former Kosciusko victor and 2021 runner-up Handle The Truth starts as top weight, while Geoff Duryea's Listed winner Front Page is well fancied.
The Price charge is a $31 chance.
"I'm not afraid of the grade," he said.
"He has beaten some really good horses home recently. It would be awesome if he could win, it's great prize money and the horse deserves to win a race like this."
