Three NSW Ambulance road crews, a critical care team and the Toll Ambulance Rescue Helicopter responded to reports of the incident at 9am on Friday, August 12.
The woman, in her 60s, came off the bike at Shellharbour Road, according to NSW Ambulance. She was treated at the scene, and airlifted to St George Hospital in a critical condition.
NSW Ambulance inspector Steve Owen said the scene was "confronting".
"Paramedics arrived to a confronting scene where a woman had fallen off her bike and suffered a critical head injury leaving her unconscious and bleeding," Mr Owen said.
"Paramedics worked to stabilise her for an airlift and transported her to the waiting helicopter.
"This is a reminder that even falls from pushbikes can result in serious injuries."
