The club's only ladies' team qualified for the State Cup after finishing second behind Tarrawanna in the 2012 competition.
Ironically, they played Tarra in the final, before suffering the heartbreak of going down 3-2 in a penalty shootout with the scores locked at 1-all at full-time.
The Eagles had a strong 2013 season and were minor premiers for the first time, thus grabbing a spot in the Champion of Champions competition.
They beat Tarrawanna 3-1 in the semi-final to be first into the grand final, before their fierce rivals reversed the result in the grand final.
The side was excited about the prospect of taking on the top teams from throughout the state, travelling to Dubbo to play the home side and, despite only having 12 players and coming home with a 2-0 win.
They then played Revesby Workers at Bankstown with only 11 players and scored a resounding 8-2 victory, before returning to Bankstown where they scored a 2-1 win over Kogarah.
This put them into the semi-finals, where they had to overcome searing heat and high winds as well as a classy Epping YMCA at Dee Why, overcoming a 1-0 half-time deficit to triumph 2-1.
The final wasn't nearly as tough and the side came home with a 3-0 win over Colo FSC, a result made even more meritorious considering they were without two of their stars, Tenaya Davis and Nicole McCracken, who were overseas.
"It was a great way to finish the season and a wonderful reward for the girls," long-time coach Richard Davis said.
"It would have been great to win all three titles this year, but I suppose two out of three [minor premiership and Champion of Champions] isn't bad.
"They are a great bunch of girls and most are locals, which makes it even more special."
