The South Coast Christian community is drawing on its combined experience of staging major events to lead the state into a month-long Jesus All About Life campaign. The goal of the September campaign is to have the message about Jesus heard in every household.Jesus All About Life (JAAL) South Coast project manager Rochelle Jeffrey said the unity and support from the Wollongong and Nowra Christian community was overwhelming."One hundred churches have now signed up on the South Coast," she said. This week church leaders gathered for a unique photo shoot to help kick-start publicity in NSW.They drew on unity developed during the Harvest campaign and World Youth Day activities to gather at Flagstaff Hill to create an image likely to attract statewide attention.Dee and Shaaron Kramer, of Dee Kramer Photography, V8 racing Super Car driver Andrew Fisher, V8 ute racing driver Steve Peach, and Bob Smith, of Nowra business Signs led the way with pastors, ministers and church elders keen to convey the Jesus message in a non-threatening way.Shane Cook, of Shellharbour Christian Outreach Centre, Brett Gottle (Wollongong Church of Christ), Scott Hanzy (Gateway City Church), Paul Bartlett (Lighthouse Church), Sandy Grant (St Michael's Anglican Cathedral), David Jones (Uniting Church), and 94.1FM station manager Josh Reid were among those present.Fisher said it was great for his Jesus Racing Team to be involved in an event that would help so many people gain a better understanding of the message he had been trying to convey on the race track.Fisher said this campaign would help take the message to a new level. "It will replicate the work we are doing speaking about Jesus in schools and youth detention centres," he said.Mr Smith said Jesus All About signs were being distributed in Nowra and would soon appear in residential and business areas. McDonald's Bomaderry is displaying a large banner and a Berry businessman gave the use of a helicopter for this week's photo shoot.
