Man suffers fractured skull at Kiama party

An Albion Park Rail man is in hospital after suffering a fractured skull during an alleged fight at a party in Kiama.The man was injured during a party at a unit in Boanyo Ave at 9.30pm on Saturday.Sergeant John Klepczarek from Lake Illawarra police said the 40-year-old left the party and was followed outside by several party-goers."A fight has allegedly began, which resulted in the 40-year-old being assaulted by several men,'' Sgt Klepczarek said."Police and ambulance personnel were called and attended a short time later where they found the 40-year-old sitting on the grass.''He was taken to Wollongong Hospital where it was discovered he had a fractured skull.Lake Illawarra detectives continued their investigations and on Sunday arrested two Kiama men, aged 25 and 18.The 25-year-old was charged with assault while the 18-year-old was charged with affray.Both will appear in Kiama Local Court on April 22.
