Masked teens rob bottle shop: police

Two teenage boys have been charged over the attempted robbery of a Koonawarra bottle shop on Saturday night.Inspector Greg Mahon of Lake Illawarra Police said the two boys, aged 13 and 14, allegedly went to the BWS store on Lakelands Dr at 8.30pm.He said the boys were wearing masks and one was allegedly armed with a knife.The shop assistant locked the door when the boys approached but the older teen was able to slip through the closing door.He allegedly grabbed a six-pack of pre-mixed drinks before smashing the door to escape.The pair ran off but were later arrested and charged.A 14-year-old Dapto boy was refused bail in Parramatta Children's Court.A 13-year-old Blackbutt boy was granted bail to appear at Port Kembla Children's Court.
