With his vehicles traversing the length of Picton Rd daily, Jeremiah Wiedl says the nature of the road meant it was only a matter of time before a car ended up hitting one of his tankers."I fear driving on this road ... there have been so many accidents lately," the owner of Unanderra Tanker Hire said."It is not a bad road. • Five family members killed on Picton RdMr Wiedl says the volume of traffic on the stretch of road has increased following the opening of the M7, which provides a faster link between the South Coast and the Central Coast. He suggests an increased highway patrol presence and the clearing of trees at the edge of the roads to extend vision on bends as short-term solutions.
