Three men accused of a sickening, unprovoked attack on two teens in Crown St Mall were looking for a fight, a court has been told.Police allege Raed Kalal, 21, Dennis Rousianos, 20, and Vivek Trivedi, 21 had been involved in an altercation before they were kicked out of a Crown St nightclub and began roaming the mall, taunting people at random on Saturday night.Within minutes the trio set upon two innocent passers-by, knocking the teens to the ground in a sudden, brutal attack.Yesterday, the three western Sydney men appeared in Wollongong Local Court, each charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm in company.Kalal, of Miller, and Rousianos, of Wiley Park, were also charged with robbery in company.Opposing bail, prosecutor Sergeant Coby Pearson told the court mall security footage, which showed the trio taunting and approaching people at random, indicated the men were seeking a confrontation."After viewing the CCTV footage, [I can say] it's a sickening and unprovoked attack on both victims," she said."It was clear they were looking for someone to fight with that night."Security footage played in court showed the trio walking east through the mall when they approached two teens heading in the opposite direction. The teens ignored the men and continued walking, but were suddenly attacked from behind. One of the teens was forced to the ground, and repeatedly kicked and punched, police allege. The security footage then depicts one of the accused, identified by police as Trivedi, kicking and stomping on the teen's head and body numerous times. The second teen was then king-hit by Kalal and fell to the ground, according to facts before the court. While he was lying unconscious on the ground, Rousianos allegedly stole the teen's phone before rolling him onto his stomach and taking his wallet from the rear pocket of his jeans. The trio was arrested five minutes later out the front of the Ivory nightclub. The two teens suffered extensive bruising, bleeding and soreness to their heads and bodies.Yesterday, Registrar Neil Langstaff refused the trio's bail applications.
