Stingrays stand-out Sam Spackman believes the stars are aligning for consecutive league-grand final doubles after yesterday's win over Manly.Spackman, who scored the opening goal before turning provider for Trudy Camilleri's brace, labelled Illawarra's major semi-final performance the best of a campaign that has already yielded a second straight premiership. With only the August 22 decider at Balls Paddock to go, the winger declared the Stingrays were peaking at exactly the right time after a late-season wobble."I'd agree with that, the last couple of rounds we haven't been playing anywhere near our potential and we came here today and really stepped up," she said after the 3-1 triumph at JJ Kelly Park."It's the right time to peak, we've just come away with a premiership and now we're playing good football."Spackman, who was part of the team that thrashed Macarthur 6-1 in last year's grand final, believes Illawarra will face Inter Lions on the biggest day in NSW women's football.Inter play Manly next Sunday for the right to face the Stingrays."I think we'll come up against Inter, we haven't beaten them this season and we'd like to go out and stick it to them," she said.Spackman's 20th-minute icebreaker was her first goal of a season disrupted by a knee injury.
