Woods died last Tuesday on the NSW North Coast. He was 79.
The English-born defender had two stints in Australia after a 304-game career with Queens Park Rangers in the Football League.
He moved to Australia to link up with Hellenic in 1961 before returning to England to play with Colchester United for a season in 1963-64.
He was one of South Coast United's most high-profile signings under coach Jim Kelly.
Woods was a member of the South Coast United side which played a touring Chelsea outfit in 1965 at Woonona Oval.
He eventually finished his career with the Melita Eagles.
