Susan Boyle, the Scottish singer who shot to world fame after her television talent show audition, has now been immortalised in cartoon history with an appearance on The Simpsons.
The previously unknown 48-year-old charity worker astonished judges on Britain's Got Talent with her extraordinary voice last month.
And it seems the Simpsons creators have been similarly impressed.

In the Simpsons episode, Homer sits in front of judge Simon Cowell at auditions for the talent show and, when he is asked to identify himself, says: "My name is Homer Simpson, I'm 39 years old and, well, I've never been kissed."
"My dream is to be a great singer like Susan Boyle."
It is the second time Boyle has been mentioned in a hit US cartoon show.
A South Park character complained about Boyle's over-exposure in an episode screened a few weeks after she shot to fame.
Character Ike told his parents he was leaving home to become a Somalian pirate because he was fed-up hearing about Susan's performance of I Dreamed A Dream from Les Miserables.
