Michael Jackson memorial a Facebook sensation

More than 6000 messages a minute were posted on CNN Live's Facebook video feed during the memorial service for Michael Jackson in Los Angeles.Fans across the world shared Facebook updates and thoughts while watching free streaming video of the memorial at CNN Live, ABC, and E! Online websites.The social networking site reported that 759,000 Facebook users watched the memorial event online at CNN Live, with 87,000 others opting for E! Online and 97,000 viewing video feeds at ABC websites. Facebook marketing director Randi Zuckerberg said the 6000 figure was for CNN Live alone, so the figure would be significantly higher if the other sites were taken into account.
