Neighbour Dylan Tervij said he had last seen the 41-year-old woman on Thursday morning.
"She was driving and she waved to me and said ‘hi’,’’ he said.
"She was very stressed, you could see in her face she wasn’t happy.
"I went to sleep in the afternoon, when I woke up I saw all the cops here."
Mr Tervij, who lives in the adjacent unit block, said he only knew the woman to exchange pleasantries.
"She very much doesn’t talk to anybody, she keeps to herself, she had her own friends."
Police found the woman’s body in the boot of her car on Thursday evening.
A member of the public had reported finding an abandoned white 2003 Kia Rio in bushland off Foothills Rd in Corrimal earlier in the day.
Officers attempted to find the vehicle’s owner and, when they were unsuccessful, they returned to the car and found her body in the boot.
