Glen Saville finally surrendered to an all-blond moment at the Chelsea salon in Wollongong this week ... and loved it!
Proprietor Lina Sorrentino finally got her way with former Hawk and Boomer Glen.
"I have been trying to tempt Glen to get a blond experience for years. I felt his skin and eye colour would be better complemented with a lighter tone and provide a more youthful look.
"Glen was very blond through his childhood which often indicates what colour will suit best when looking for a change or a few highlights, and this goes for men too."
Glen was very keen to support Highlights for Hope and felt he had a great opportunity to make a real statement.
Lina applied a quality L'Oreal lightener and followed up with a mild toner, completing the service with a Kerastase treatment.
I have to say, when Glen was done, he not only looked 10 years younger but you would not dispute it was not his natural colour.
The tall, lean, blue-eyed blond was looking pretty cool. His infectious smile was a fair indication he too liked what he saw.
Lina prides herself on offering an experience of pure luxury to all her clients and strives to maintain a pleasant level of relaxed sophistication.
As a contemporary boutique style salon, the new chic Chelsea in Wollongong recently relocated to Church Street, opposite David Jones.
"We specialise in colour correction and quality hair extensions," Lina said.
"I place great importance on training and keeping up with latest techniques and product development. You can never know it all.
"Hairdressing has been a lifetime passion and I enjoy the challenge of creating a 'one-off' to suit the attributes and needs of each individual. It is so rewarding to experience a client's genuine satisfaction.
"I was really excited to be invited as one of the Highlight for Hope salons and I cannot believe the buzz it has brought into the salon.
"It is such an important cause and our clients are so supportive, as so many have family or friends who are affected by mental health.
"People are really responding to this campaign and chatting freely with their stories and buying the raffle tickets at the salon to support our fund-raising effort."
