Bridget Hennah, from Dapto High School, and Caieta Bazzano, from Primbee Public School, joined 100 students from the Illawarra and NSW's southern regions yesterday as part of the Department of Education's Clever Energy Savers Program.
Bridget, in year 7, said her favourite activity had been exploring the Science Centre's dome and watching a film called Earth, an Oasis in Space.
"[The dome] was dark and it looked like you were looking at the real sky," she said.
"They took away all the pollution ... [it's] what the sky would look like."
Caieta, in year 5, said she was happy her school had taken up the energy-saving measures.
"We're trying to turn off the lights and open the blinds, and wear jumpers instead of putting on the heaters," she said.
"I love it [science], it's amazing how some things work."
