In a passport which has more stamps than most, new Dapto Dandaloo signing Bradley Welch hopes the ink can stay dry long enough on his latest edition for his lifelong dream to be realised.
The 25-year-old has arrived on Australian shores with a purpose.
After years chasing his dream from Iceland to New York, the two-time Trinidad international wants to finally secure a career-defining contract in the A-League.
And his new club plans on helping him get there.
"Darryl [Waller] and [coach] Norm Boardman have been really supportive so far and have made it clear that they would support any upward movement from here in the other leagues around Australia," Welch said.
"So if that comes up I would definitely jump at those opportunities."
The Fury have been a haven for A-League talent in recent times, with Noel Spencer and Alvin Ceccoli stalwarts at the club.
Last season saw the brief stay of now Wanderers defender Dean Heffernan and just two seasons earlier they boasted Central Coast Mariners young gun Josh Bingham.
Welch is aiming to become the next cab off the rank.
"I am hoping the gateway aspect works in my favour as well," Welch said.
"It is also a great opportunity to learn from guys like Ceccoli and Spencer, who have got tons experience and football knowledge."
For the time being, Welch will remain as one of the Illawarra Premier League's biggest signing coups of the season, along with American college teammate Joe Crowley.
After joining from Trinidad's Pro League club San Juan Jabloteh earlier this month the attacker has already made his presence felt.
He scored on debut in the Waratah Cup against Auburn FC and again in the Fury's 5-0 win over Fernhill on Tuesday night.
But he insists goal scoring isn't the only thing he has to offer.
"It is one of the things I thrive on, is being versatile," Welch said.
"With the development of the game I think it is an appreciated thing from coaches, being able to play in a lot of different positions.
"I pride myself on it because I do think I can play effectively in a few places around the field."
Welch will feature in the Fury's huge clash with Tarrawanna on Saturday.
