Emergency services were alerted to an accident along Lady Wakehurst Drive, at McKell Avenue, at 12.23pm.
Ambulance paramedics, police, Rural Fire Service and Fire and Rescue NSW officers attended the site, where they discovered a motorcyclist had collided with a car travelling northbound.
It appeared the motorcyclist, who was travelling south, failed to negotiate a sweeping left-hand turn.
The motorcycle became wedged under the front of the car as a result of the crash.
Ambulance paramedics were unable to revive the man.
The driver of the sedan was assessed by paramedics and helping police with their inquiries.
Live Traffic NSW advises Sir Bertram Stevens Drive between McKell Avenue and Garie Road has been closed in both directions. They are urging people to avoid the area.
The accident comes after a 42-year-old Springfield man crashed his motorcycle into a power pole at Austinmer on Saturday morning.
