11.58am: The crash has been cleared and all lanes have reopened on Spring Hill Road. There are no delays
11.22am:
11.14am: A witness said the elderly man had to be cut from the front passenger seat of one of the cars and was taken to hospital by ambulance.
11.02am: There is no right hand turn from Five Islands Road into Springhill Road. Lanes two and three on Springhill Road are still closed.
10.40am: A man and woman were trapped following a two-car crash on the corner of Five Islands and Spring Hill roads in Port Kembla.
Emergency services were called to the scene about 10.15am on Thursday.
A NSW Ambulance spokesman said neither of the elderly patients had suffered serious injuries, and had been trapped by confinement.
The crash has closed two of three northbound lanes on Spring Hill Road, causing minor traffic build up.
