The Stop the Hub community group's 10,000-signature petition will be debated in NSW Parliament in November, but people were given a taste on Thursday of what will - and will not - be said when a notice of motion lodged back in May reached the floor of the lower house.

The notice of motion from Kiama MP Gareth Ward related to a request made by Shellharbour MP Anna Watson earlier this year where she asked the Minister for Local Government for "the names of the individuals and community organisations who have written to him or signed a petition in relation to the Shellharbour City Hub project".
As it turned out Ms Watson was eventually given the petition by the Stop the Hub group in August to present to Parliament.
Mr Ward described Ms Watson's request as "old-style ALP bullying tactics at its worst".
Mr Ward also took aim at the $57 million project itself, a project given the green light by the Joint Regional Planning Panel on Monday, subject to strict conditions.
"Nobody has ever been asked if they want this project," Mr Ward said.
He said the the project "would burden ratepayers of Shellharbour for years to come".
"It is disgraceful," he said.
Ms Watson said Mr Ward was wasting Parliament's time with "student sandpit politics".
"As the house may be aware the Shellharbour City Hub project is set down for debate on November 13," Ms Watson said.
"I will leave my far more substantial remarks on the project and the 10,000 signature petition opposing it for that occasion."
