The Park had lost their first three games but their bowling and fielding, which had been their weakness came up trumps against an out of sorts Kookas, who have just one win.
‘‘We spoke about needing to bowl in the right areas and being consistent and that’s what we we were,’’ Coughlan said,.
‘‘All five bowlers took a wicket and it’s a game we needed to win and did.
‘‘Despite our losses our batting had held up and ironically 178 was probably one of our poorer batting days but the bowlers stepped up and made it a winning score.’
Batting first the Park’s solid, but hardly imposing 178, was led by the skipper Coughlan (36) and Jay Ferguson (33).
Callum De Bruyn (3-29) bowled well for Kookas but their run chase started disastrously, with Raheel Chaudhry (3-14) taking a wicket off the first ball of the innings.
Chris Delgado (32) top-scored in a disappointing scorecard for Kookas who were rolled for 127. Jack Bennett lent great support to strike bowler Chaudhry with 2-34.
In other round four one-dayers, leaders Lake Illawarra hammered 7-317 in a 210-run belting of Kiama at Cavalier Park.
Lake skipper Brendan White (86), Scott Ulcigrai (75), brother Mark Ulcigrai (65) and Dave Lambert (52) feasted on the Kiama bowling.
A overwhelmed Kiama were then bowled out for 107. Greg Connor took 3-11 with six Lakers bowlers taking a wicket.
Stand-in Kiama skipper Jaya Hartgerink (36 not out) played a lone hand with the bat.

Oak Flats rolled Harbour for 117, with Ben Morrow taking 4-39.
Rats opener Kerry Penfold and Rob McMahon both made 52 in a convincing victory.
